How our eyes work...
Cones are mostly found in the center of the retina, need a bit more light to stimulate a reaction, and are most abundant in the middle, allowing us to see detail in the center of our field of vision. There are 3 different types of cones that each detect a different color - red, green or blue. How to view a meteor shower...Be sure to use those rods when viewing stars at night and during the next meteor shower that comes our way! Resources:
